Abby Grace loses 2nd tooth

Abby Grace got in the car last week and her tooth was just hanging....it took about 4 hours for her to let me check it out. I got my hands on it so fast and.....RIP!!!!! I had to get it while I had the chance. Just when she started to scream, she looked down and I was holding it. The tooth fairy came and brought her $10 and a sparkle ball. She was so excited!

Ashlyn Six Months Old

We have been without a computer for several days because we got a virus that wiped ours out so I am typing on my new computer!! Ashlyn turned six months old last week. I took her to the doctor on Monday so here is the update: She weighs 17 lbs and is sitting up, rolling over and saying "da-da". Ashlyn loves to sit on the floor and play with all of her toys. Her favorite toy is her mirror and an empty shoe box. She is sleeping from 10pm-8ish am. She is so funny when she wants me to pick her up and she gets excited- she twists her feet round and round. I love when she reaches for me and I get a little jealous because she always wants her daddy. Ashlyn loves sweet potatoes just like sister! We will start her on fruit soon. She wears size 6-9 month clothes and size 2 diapers. Happy Half Birthday Ashlyn!

Call an Ambulance!

So lately, the girls and I have been walking at night. Abby Grace decided to walk instead of riding her bike on Friday night. I was cracking up at my two girls. You have to picture this:

Abby Grace is skinny, but tall so her clothes are a larger size. She reaches down about every 10 seconds and pulls up her pants because they are falling down.

Ashlyn is holding her bottle with both legs propped up on the bar spread wide open.

IT WAS A SIGHT!!!

When we got home, Abby Grace wanted me to help her with gymnastics. She is practicing and not getting a standing backbend...so I decided to show her. EVERY thing in my body cracked and popped when I did it. I seriously thought I hurt myself. I forgot that I am ten years old and pounds and pounds heavier! :( Abby Grace has to pull me off the floor and I thought we were going to have to call an ambulance!

Labor Day Weekend!

We had an awesome Labor Day weekend. I was so glad for Abby Grace because she has been so worn out from school. On Saturday night....LSU of course!!!!! Brad, Steph, Hannah Kate and Alyson came over to watch the game. Well, the boys watched the game the girls played outside and went to the park!!

Justin worked late on Saturday night....well Saturday night and Sunday morning. I got up and got both girls ready for church. I called mom to see if they were doing spaghetti and they were actually visiting the church I was going to that morning. I was so glad to have someone to sit with since Justin wasn't there! Ashlyn and I took a LONG nap on Sunday afternoon and then Justin took all three of his girls to dinner and Adventure Zone. We had a great time playing mini golf and riding go carts. Justin won mini golf with his four holes in one!!!

On Monday, Justin took Abby Grace on a daddy date. They went to a movie and shopping. Later that night, Abby Grace and I met our neighbors Jack and his mom Holly for dinner at the fountains. The kids had a great time playing in the fountains.

Mom's surgery/ Mimi's visit

Well, my mom had another surgery. This one was on her left shoulder (rotator cuff). It was tough!!! While Dad and I were waiting in the lobby with the girls, someone approached us and thought he was my husband....GROSS!!!!

Mimi flew in a few days later to help Mom. I know she felt like a nomad because mom would need her and then I would need her. She never knew where she was staying. She was a big help to all of us.

Good news: We didn't really tell anyone about some testing we were having run on Ashlyn, but now we would like to share our good news. We had been noticing for several months that sometimes Ashlyn would shake. The best way I can describe it would be a cold shiver that you can't control. I always thought it was a quirky baby thing until people began to notice and seem concerned. I mentioned it at her four month check-up and the doctor thought that we should definitely run some tests to rule out possible seizures. We knew that there was absolutely nothing wrong with this baby! She is fantastic with a huge personality. Mimi went with me to the doctor and they ran an EEG. The results were in and all the doctor could say was, "This baby is fine and I don't want to see you again!" We were happy with that. He said that she has infantile shutter movement and should grow out of it by age two.

While Mimi was here she didn't rest a moment. She was shuffled to doctor's appointments, therapy, school pick up line, dinners, playdates with Abby Grace, cleaning my house, etc. We had a blast. It was so sad on the night she left Abby Grace cried the whole way home! :(

Thank you Mimi for visiting....I love our special times together!!!
