GREAT WOLF LODGE

Me, Abby Grace, Papa & Gigi went to Great Wolf Lodge on Wednesday. The night before we left, I asked Abby Grace if she was excited and if she knew what a waterpark had. She said, "Yeah, it's a hotel with a big swimming pool!" She had no idea about the slides, etc. We got there and she was quite overwhelmed. It took a little while to get her to do some things, but after every ride she wanted to go right back. I was so proud of her for not being scared. After about 3 1/2 hours at the waterpark, we went on to the magic treasure hunt, dinner, stuffing an animal, story time, arcade, etc. I left and let Abby Grace spend the night with mom and dad.

The next day mom told me a funny story. She took Abby Grace down to get some breakfast at a place that had every sweet you can imagine. (donuts, fudge, cookies, etc) Abby Grace picks an apple! :)

Abby Grace Graduates from Pre-K 2010

Abby Grace graduated from Pre-K at Legacy Learning Center on Thursday, May 20th at 4pm. Out of the fifty kiddos, she was the second tallest. She was so beautiful and graceful as she proudly walked down the aisle. She sang some songs and recited a poem. Justin & I are so very proud of our big girl!!

Abby Grace chose to go to Asahi's restaurant (Hibatchi) afterwards. Justin, Abby Grace, Ashlyn, Gigi and I had the whole place to ourselves. They treated Abby Grace so well and made it lots of fun. Gigi got Abby Grace notebooks and pencils with her name on it for when she starts school. Abby Grace wanted to sharpen her pencils all night!

Mamaw & Tom come for a visit

Mamaw & Tom told Abby Grace that they would be here for a one night visit on Sunday. Well, the doorbell rang Saturday around lunch and Abby Grace went to answer it. She doesn't think anything of the doorbell because we are always having packages delivered to our house. She opened the door and there was Mamaw & Tom with presents and pink roses. We had such a good weekend!

PS- Thanks Aunt Bran & Uncle Brad for Ashlyn's outfit!

Ashlyn 2 month check-up/Abby Grace school registration

Thursday morning I registered Abby Grace for school. She will attended EP Razor in Lantana. (a couple of blocks from Papa & Gigi's house) The first thing I realized when I got there was Abby Grace is about a foot taller than all the other kids. She will go in early August to meet the teacher and meet her new friends.

Ashlyn had her two month check-up this morning. She weighs 10lbs 8oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. She had to get three shots....ouch!!!

"Mommy, why do you wear makeup?"

As I was putting on my makeup this morning, Abby Grace asked me why I wear makeup. I told her that I wear it so daddy will think that I am pretty. She said, "Well, I don't think that he would think your shirt is pretty." After a few seconds she added, "....and you might want to change your pants!" She is such my little diva fashionista!!!

The other day when we were going to go to lunch with mom, Abby Grace asked said, "Are you wearing pajamas again to go out?" I guess after having Ashlyn, I have spent too many days in sweats and t-shirts. :) That is one of the beauties of living here versus WM...no one knows me! Unfortunately, I don't have a closet full of beautiful clothes to choose from like Abby Grace has. Thanks to her Mamaw, she could wear a different outfit everyday!

To All The Mothers In My Life

Cindy Sanders (Mom)- truly my very best friend in the whole world. She is my first call to talk to about anything and everything. Mom is my role model and has always set such a great example as a wife, mom, friend and God-fearing woman. She has spent her whole life creating special memories for our family. No matter what we face down the road, I will always have those memories!

Rosemary Warden (Mimi)- the strongest and most unselfish person I know! She completely holds our family together. You know the saying home is where the heart is?...well, she always feels like home to me. Speaking of home...that lady can clean!!!...all day without sitting! Even when we can't be in WM for holidays, she takes the time to send our special family dressing for me and Justin to have here in Texas!!

Barbara Brim (Mamaw)- my big love. The only way my Mamaw knows how to love is to love big!!! As the first girl in the family, she has spoiled me since day one! She has an exceptional way of making me feel special. Mamaw would do anything to make me and my family happy!!! She is always here to help when I need her. We share a love of eating and shopping! :) Mamaw, me and Abby Grace can spend that money!

Sara Sanders (Nana)- the one who takes it all on!! She married my Papaw when I was very young and took on his four boys and all of their children. Sara has completely taken our family as her own. She spends so much time making things special for us...even the small things. I always appreciate everything she does...especially when she cooks fried chicken and spaghetti and decorates for every holiday on the calendar. :)

Betty LoBello (Mam-maw)- the one who raised my man and I think she did a pretty good job. A good reflection of a mother is how her children turned out...and I believe that Justin's character reflects the kind of excellent mother Betty is to him. I also appreciate her accepting me into her family and making me always feel at home.

Steffany Sanders, Leigh LoBello and Cara LoBello-the ladies who take such great care of my nieces and nephews. You are fabulous!!!

Happy Mother's Day to All!

First Week at Work/Daycare...Lots of Smiles

Well, we have finished our first week back into a real routine. I went back to work last Saturday and they were soooo glad to have me back. Ashlyn started daycare this week on Tues/Thurs. All the teachers were so excited to have a little baby. The youngest in the class is 7 months old so they were fighting over Ashlyn. I did call several times and went and fed her during the day. It takes me exactly two minutes to get from my parking lot to hers!! First Day of School Pic posted below!

I went today to get my IUD put in...so no more babies for me and Justin (at least for five years).

Ashlyn is smiling all the time now...especially at Abby Grace. Posting pics of smiles this afternoon. Ashlyn is starting to sleep from 11pm-6ish am. She is up most of the day with several short naps. She never stops moving her arms and legs. Ashlyn loves looking at bright lights, fans and Abby Grace. She is such a happy baby!!!
